Student Housing for Fall 2019

Parents, Family Members and Students,

We’re tremendously excited for the start of the fall term at N.C. A&T and trust that you are too. We are expecting another strong year in enrollment, continuing growth over the past few years that has made A&T the largest HBCU in the country.

That growth has also created challenges with student housing that we are diligently working through. All housing under university control is full, both on and off campus. Housing and Residence Life is working individually with remaining freshmen, transfer students and continuing students who still lack housing to help them address their needs.

Attrition will make more spaces available, as students who are unable to enroll this fall for whatever reason give up spaces that were committed to them. We have no way of knowing how many spaces that will make available, but we will allocate those immediately to students who are waiting.

If you or your student needs housing assistance, we encourage you to reach out to Housing and Residence Life as soon as possible via housing@ncat.edu. At this point, we can make no guarantees of A&T housing this fall, but can share resources in the community that might be helpful.

Thanks for your patience as we continue to do our best to assist students in making arrangements for this fall.

Sincerely,

Office of Housing and Residence Life
