Community Engagement

Definition

North Carolina A&T State University defines community engagement as intentional collaboration between the university and its partners that yields mutually beneficial conversations, actions, and the exchange of resources. Our partners and stakeholders represent a cross-section of the community (local, regional/state, national, global) including but not limited to: corporate, non-profit, faith-based, and civic. 

Mission Statement

The mission of The Office of Community Engagement is to guide the university’s expanding engagement with a broad range of communities by cultivating prismatic partnerships with the growing number of leaders, organizations and businesses within the local, regional/state, national, and global community.

Vision Statement

The Office of Community Engagement seeks to be the catalyst and unifier of all community-engaged activities for North Carolina A&T State University by cultivating long-lasting partnerships that are intentional with high impact; ultimately driving the university’s commitment to positively impacting our surrounding community as outlined in Preeminence: Taking the Momentum to 2023.
