Black Nativity returns to N.C. A&T

The theatre department at North Carolina A&T State University will present Black Nativity by Langston Hughes, Dec. 1 – 4, 2016. The play is an inspiring gospel musical that celebrates the birth of Christ.

This high-energy, holiday production features vibrant songs and dances of praise and worship. Storytellers guide audiences through the glorious words of the Holy Scripture allowing the audience to fully experience this biblical re-telling.

N.C. A&T has been performing Black Nativity for more than 25 years. Its original performances were held at the Paul Robeson Theatre, but because of its popularity with student’s, faculty, staff and the Triad community, performances are now held in Harrison Auditorium, a much larger venue also on the university’s campus. Excited audiences from across the state have come year after year for this holiday tradition that showcases the talents of the national award-winning Richard B. Harrison Players.
