North Carolina A&T State University’s 34th Annual Richard E. Moore Memorial Aggie Homecoming Golf Tournament will be held Friday, Oct. 26, at Grandover Resorts.   The format for the tournament will be medal play with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m., on the East and West courses.

The tournament will be pre-tournament flighting.  Early bird registration cost is $115 until Friday, Sept. 28, the amount will increase to $130 until October 19, after that date you must register on site.  The fee includes a golf cart, 18 holes of golf, practice balls, on-course beverages, trophies, souvenirs and an awards reception.  In case of inclement weather a rain check or credit for a tax deductible contribution will be issued.

The golf tournament is named in honor of the late Dr. Richard E. Moore, assistant vice chancellor for university relations. The event was founded by Moore and two other graduates, Dr. Albert Smith and Waddell Pearson. It was created as a vehicle for golf-loving Aggies and friends to meet and greet each other and also to raise funds for A&T’s athletics program. A scholarship in Moore’s name has been established and those interested in making a contribution may send it in care of the A&T Department of Athletics.
