Wes Moore’s The Other Wes Moore:  One Name, Two Fates, at N.C. A&T State University, was selected by A&T the 2012-13 Text in Community.  The Other Wes Moore, previously listed as a New York Times Bestseller, is a narrative about two African American males who grew up in strikingly similar circumstances in the same poor section of Baltimore, Md.  While one Wes Moore became a Rhodes Scholar, White House Fellow, decorated veteran, Democratic Party National Convention speaker and businessman, the other was sentenced to life in prison for his involvement in the killing of a police officer.  The book’s author, the first (and successful) Moore, explores why his life turned out so differently than that of his namesake, “the other Wes Moore.”  This book is also available in eBook.
