Dr. Gloria Elliott has joined the Department of Human Performance and Leisure Studies as an adjunct assistant professor and graduate program coordinator of the Master of Science degree program at North Carolina A&T State University. Elliott has extensive professional preparation in the areas of adapted physical education/activity, physical education,  teacher education and movement education. 

Elliott has been teaching for over 25 years. Her research has explored many areas including educating the special needs child, childhood obesity and international travel.   She received her B.S. degree from Fayetteville State University, M.S. degree from the University of Connecticut and a Doctor of Philosophy in education from the Ohio State University.
