Dr. Beryl McEwen, Dr. Lisa Gueldenzoph Snyder,Dr. Jorge Gaytan and Dr. Betty Chapman


Several faculty members from the Department of Business Education at North Carolina A&T State University participated in the national conference of Delta Pi Epsilon, which was celebrating its 75th anniversary in Indianapolis, Ind. Dr. Beryl McEwen, professor and associate dean of the School of Business and Economics, served as the organization’s president and presided over the conference. Dr. Lisa Gueldenzoph Snyder, professor and chair of the Department of Business Education, presented two papers: “Emergent Technology and the Millennial Generation” and “An Analysis of Business Education Methods Courses: Best Practices for Instructional Effectiveness.” Dr. Jorge Gaytan, associate professor, presented research on “Strategies to Effectively Respond to Challenges Associated with Student Retention in Online Courses,” and Dr. Betty Chapman, assistant professor, served as a discussant chair and made a presentation titled “Phones in the Classroom: Business Educators’ Perceptions Based on Gender.
