Kristie Marie Eller Scholarship Endowment Fund

Kristie Marie Eller was born Oct. 14, 1974, in Greensboro, North Carolina, the second of five children of Carl M. Eller and Kim M. Keyse. She was a proud resident of Greensboro and extremely active in her community. Kristie completed her early education at Northwest Guilford High School. She attended North Carolina A&T State University and received her Bachelor of Science in physical health education. Unfortunately, she passed away April 21, 2002, only a few days before her graduation ceremony.

Kristie was an amazing woman full of Aggie Pride. She excelled in every sport she played and loved teaching children. She was a student teacher at Eastern Middle School. Kristie was loved and adored by her students and made a huge impact in their lives in her short time with them. Eastern Middle School students planted a tree in her memory on school grounds and placed a memorial in her name.

Kristie was a member of Newlyn Street United Methodist Church, where she sang in the choir, was a Sunday school teacher and an active member in the United Methodist Women holding the position of District Historian. Her life was short but full of determination, passion, giving and love. She was a daughter, sister and friend to many. The Kristie Marie Eller Scholarship Endowment Fund was created to keep Kristie’s light shining through deserving students who will carry her torch.
