Females In Technology (FIT) Summer Boot Camp

The College of Science and Technology at North Carolina A&T State University recognizes the critical importance of increasing the number of females that enter the pipeline to pursue STEM careers. Our Females In Technology (FIT) Summer Boot Camp is a three day residential summer program for female rising juniors and seniors in high school, held at N.C. A&T S.U. 

July 15-17, 2016
This three day residential camp is for high school rising Juniors and Seniors females to broaden their knowledge in technology! FIT will provided students with:
  • First hand exposure to college campus life
  • Mentorship from School of Technology female faculty
  • Conduct small project ranging from writing computer programs to creating computer apps
  • Gain experience using software application in technology management, reading blueprints and sketching, and green building materials and systems
  • Sharpen team building and public speaking skills

Eligibility Requirements /Application Instructions:

  1. Must be Female.
  2. Rising Juniors and Seniors.
  3. Minimum 2.5 GPA.
  4. Meets requirements to graduate from high school.
  5. Completed Application (incomplete applications will not be reviewed).
  6. Transcript: An official copy of your school transcript must be submitted with your application showing cumulative GPA.
  7. Letter of Recommendation: One letter of recommendation must be included. Letters must be typed on official letterhead (notebook paper is not acceptable). One letter must come from a representative from your school; the second letter may be written from someone who can speak about your character from the community.
  8. Deadline: Completed packages must be received no later than June 15, 2016.
Scholarships are available for the 2016 FIT Residential Camp. Please complete the scholarship application form and submit with your application.
Scholarships space is limited and fills on a first-come, first-served basis.

Outright Champs Were Outright Dominating

North Carolina A&T got everything it wanted out of its 45-0 win over archrival North Carolina Central in football action Saturday afternoon at O’Kelly-Riddick Stadium. We can start with the fact that N.C. A&T shutout their archrival in the most lopsided contest between the two schools since the Eagles rejoined the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference in 2011.
