SciTech Scholars Scholarship/Enrichment Program

The SciTech Scholars Enrichment program is a prestigious undergraduate merit and need-based scholarship offered by the College of Science and Technology at North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University. The program provides a two (2) year renewable scholarship of $4000/semester to incoming freshmen. Only freshmen who plan to enroll in the upcoming Fall semester are eligible. This scholarship is awarded to talented college-bound high school seniors based on demonstrated academic achievement, financial need, and an expressed interest in pursuing a degree program in either chemistry, physics, mathematics, or electronics technology.

The goal of the SciTech Scholars Enrichment Program is to increase the representation and success of underrepresented students in chemistry, physics, mathematics, or electronics technology. The program is designed to equip students with the academic and professional skills that will result in a successful undergraduate and post-graduate experience in these highly quantitative fields. Students are supported through peer and faculty mentorship, develop a sense of belonging through our summer bridge program and residential learning community are strategically connected to alumni and corporate partners, engaged in critical and analytical thinking programs, and exposed to undergraduate research, internship and study abroad opportunities. All applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements:

  • Graduating high school senior
  • Accepted into North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University
  • Declared Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, or Electronics Technology as major
  • Verifiable financial need
    • In order to be considered for the SciTech Scholars Scholarship, applicants must file their Free Application for Federal Student Aid in addition to the scholarship application.
  • Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA (unweighted)
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident
  • Two letters of recommendation: Recommendation letter (1-2) from a science or mathematics teacher. As an option, guidance counselors may also submit a recommendation letter (1) on your behalf. Letter should be sent separately to Dr. Angela M. White at by February 15, 2021.
