Department of Built Environment

Dear Prospective Students and Visitors:

I welcome this opportunity to introduce you to the outstanding program areas of Construction Management, Environmental Health and Safety, and Geomatics. The department offers three degree programs at the undergraduate level, one shared masters degree program and a PHD consortium program with Indiana State University. The Bachelor of Science degree programs offered by the department are Construction Management, Environmental Health and Safety, and Geomatics.  All of our degree programs in the Department of Built Environment have 80% to 90% placement of its graduates. The BS degree in Construction Management is accredited by the American Council for Construction Education (ACCE) and the BS degree in Environmental Health and Safety is accredited by the Association of Technology, Management, and Applied Engineering (ATMAE).  Please review our guide for public information regarding Construction Management (CM).

N.C. A&T to Conduct Siren Test Wednesday, May 30

A siren test will be conducted at North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University at 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 30. This is a university-wide siren test, conducted by the university's emergency management team for the purpose of system maintenance. The test will last approximately 10 minutes.

N.C. A&T and UNCG Expand Joint Social Work Program to Offer Ph.D. 

North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University’s joint social work program with the University of North Carolina at Greensboro will now include a Ph.D. degree in addition to the existing master’s degree. The UNC System Board of Governors approved the request and expansion at its meeting today.
