Fall 2021 Tuition and Fees Changes

June 9, 2021

Aggie Students,

Per a University of North Carolina System initiative, North Carolina A&T State University is moving to a per-credit hour tuition and fee rate for students beginning fall 2021.

This means that all new and continuing students, who are not part of the N.C. Fixed Tuition program, will be billed at a per-credit hour rate.

How This Effects Your Bill

  • Tuition and fee rates will be assessed per credit hour enrolled (for each credit hour the student is enrolled) starting this fall. Tuition and fee rates will no longer be assessed using block rates.
  • Effective for fall 2021, charges will be based on the degree program in which a student is enrolled, whether on campus or online.
  • On-campus degree programs will be billed the regular on-campus tuition and fees rate for all courses, even if some of the courses are offered in an online format.
  • Online degree programs will be billed at the distance learning tuition and fee rates for all courses. Please note, students residing in university housing in an online program will also be assessed on-campus fees. Fees can be found on the attached schedule of tuition and fees.
  • All tuition and fees will be capped at the full-time enrollment level of 12 credit hours for undergraduate students and nine credit hours for graduate students.

What is Not Changing

  • A continuing undergraduate student in the N.C. Fixed Tuition Program will continue to be assessed on a block rate method. The new per-credit hour rate change does not apply to tuition and fees.
  • Some programs have differential tuition and/or program specific fees. Programs with these charges can be found on the schedule of tuition and fees.
