The North Carolina A&T Division of Intercollegiate Athletics and its athletics teams are following coronavirus-related guidance from the university, the State of North Carolina and the UNC System and the NCAA in managing all aspects of its programs this fall. That includes governance for student athlete practice and preparation for competition, games, matches and meets themselves and the fan experience.

Our primary concern in all of this is the health and safety of our student athletes, our coaches and staff and spectators, all of whom will be required to conduct themselves differently this year to protect themselves and those around them.

Masks, Social Distancing

All student athletes, coaches and staff will be required to wear masks/face coverings in and around our athletics facilities and observe social distancing. No visitors will be allowed without prior approval.

Foot traffic throughout facilities will be regulated in a single direction to reduce person-to-person contact in hallways.

Athletics Facilities

Detailed plans exist for all athletic facilities utilized for fall sports, including BB&T Stadium, the Aggie Athletics Foundation Tent and ACT-1 Suites, Corbett Sports Center, Moore Gym, War Memorial Stadium, Aggie Softball Stadium, Aggie Athletics Tennis Courts, Irwin Belk Track, AMF All Star Bowling Lanes, Forest Oaks & Bryan Park Golf Facilities and study hall.

The plans are inclusive of disinfecting and hygiene protocols, physical distancing, communications plans and access controls. Facilities will be cleaned and sanitized daily -- in some cases, multiple times a day.

Spectator Seating and Masks

Seating plans are also in place for all athletics facilities to allow for social distancing between spectators. These plans will significantly reduce the seating capacity for all sports, most notably football and basketball.

Information regarding ticket sales and seating arrangements for the fall football season is available on the A&T Athletics website. Similar information will be released for other sports as it becomes available.

Spectators will be required to wear masks/face coverings, observe social distancing and sit in areas as directed by athletics staff. Failure to follow those directions will result in being directed to leave the facility.
