Doris Henderson Newcomer's School Volunteer Program

Working with the children at the Doris Henderson Newcomers School has been a rewarding and inspiring experience for the students and faculty of North Carolina A&T State University’s College of Business and Economics.    These students at the Newcomers School are from all over the world and each one of them has a wonderful story to tell.  These children are eager to learn and excited to share their culture with you.  All hours will count toward the student organization community service requirements.

All volunteers for the Doris Henderson Newcomers School are required to register as a volunteer with Guilford County Schools. Please visit https://www.gcsvolunteers.com/ as soon as possible, to register.  It only takes a few moments to complete this process. If you have any questions about this process, please contact Dr. Lisa A. Owens-Jackson at laowensj@ncat.edu or 336-285-3381.

After registering as a volunteer.  Go to the google.com spreadsheet and fill in a line of the volunteer form.  Record your first and last name, your email address, and your cell phone number.  Choose a volunteer time window and indicate your service preferences.

PREEMINENCE BEFORE 2020!!

On Sunday, May 20, 2018, the senior group of Sowell, Ordonez, Rivera, Hunt and McAlister along with Hall and the rest of the Aggies baseball program won the 2018 MEAC championship with a 12-9 win over their longtime nemesis in the tournament, the Bethune-Cookman Wildcats.

Aggies Blowout FAMU, Win Southern Division Title

North Carolina A&T baseball added to the championship collection. The best season in North Carolina A&T Athletics history since joining the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference in 1971 apparently still has a lot of steam left. N.C. A&T baseball scored a bunch of runs en route to the MEAC Southern Division regular-season title thanks to a 25-15 defeat of Florida A&M Saturday at Moore-Kittles Field.
