About the College of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences

With six departments and nine programs in seven buildings, the College of Arts, Humanities and Sciences is the largest academic unit at NC A&T State University, and it is at the heart and hub of any well-rounded course of study, irrespective of a student’s major. In our college, you will find the educational building blocks for careers in visual arts and design, music, theater, dance, journalism, public relations, politics, law, history, writing, editing, teaching, and more.

Through excellent instruction, internships, study abroad programs and service-learning opportunities, students in the College of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences hone their critical thinking skills, engage in contemporary research, and develop creative problem-solving abilities in a variety of programs:
