Agricultural Research

Organized research is conducted in the College ofAgriculture and Environmental Sciences by research faculty with joint appointments in the instructional program.  Much of the research activity is sponsored by the United States Department of Agriculture.  It is conducted on the University farm and in on-campus laboratories where investigations include such disciplines as agricultural economics, animal science, plant science, landscape architecture and design, human nutrition, housing, food science, and animal health.

A&T Register to Host N.C.’s Largest College Media Conference

Approximately 200 media students from across the state will converge on the campus of North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University for the annual North Carolina College Media Association Conference on Saturday, Feb. 23, 2019.

N.C. A&T Professor Awarded $1.4M Grant to Research Cell Communication

A North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University professor received $1.4 million from the National Institutes of Health’s National Institute of General Medical Sciences to investigate the biochemical mechanisms that facilitate communication within and between cells in the human body.

N.C. A&T to Host Diabetes Research Symposium

North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University will host the second-annual Regional Diabetes Research Symposium, in collaboration with UNC Chapel Hill, Wake Forest University and Duke University on March 15, 2019, at A&T’s Union Square Campus.
