Welcome to the V.I.P. (Very Important Parents) page! This webpage is designed to help parents and families adjust to their student(s) first-year at North Carolina A&T State University and will be updated on a monthly basis. Welcome to Aggieland!



  • 05/01/18: National Day of Intent (submission of intent to enroll to college/university due)
  • 06/30/18: Official final transcripts due



If your student(s) claim(s) to be a North Carolina resident for tuition purposes, he/she must complete the Residency Determination Service (RDS) interview process and provide the Admissions office with their Residency Certification Number (RCN) from RDS.

Congratulations on your student’s acceptance to N.C. A&T State University! New Student Orientation (NSO) is mandatory for all newly admitted students. Orientation begins prior to the fall semester. During orientation, you will receive information about academic requirements and expectations, campus resources, student services, meet with an academic advisor and register for courses.

Session III: June 21-22
Session IV: June 26-27
Session V: July 9-10
Session VI: July 12-13

Need financial assistance to fund your student’s college education? Help your student(s) complete the 2018-2019 FAFSA now. Be sure to include N.C. A&T school code #002905. Students and parents must request a Federal Student Aid ID to electronically sign the FAFSA. A Renewal FAFSA must be completed each academic year. For details regarding the FAFSA, click here.



Searching for assistance to help pay for college can be overwhelming. We can help ease some of the stress. Visit the sites below to get you and your student started on your scholarship search.



By North Carolina law, students must complete the new student immunizations requirements in order to become an enrolled student for fall 2018. For more information, contact the Student Health Center at 336-334-7880 or find out what immunizations are needed prior to New Student Orientation by visiting the Student Health Center's website.



Interested in living on campus? Our student housing application is now available! The 2018-19 Housing Application process begins after your student submits their Intent to Enroll. To apply for on-campus housing, your student must complete the FASFA, register for at least 12 credit hours (nine hours for graduate students), complete the housing application and pay the $175 processing fee. Housing will be assigned after your student completes New Student Orientation.

There are options to paying your student’s bill(s). Set-up a payment plan. Choose between a four- or five-month plan. You may also pay in person with cash, money order or certified check. Additionally, your student’s bill(s) can be paid online via an electronic check or credit card. To pay online, your student must authorize you as a user. For details, visit N.C. LUNCH & LEARN SERIES gives students an up-close and personal perspective on specific programs such as engineering and nursing. This event is from 10 a.m. - 1 p.m. on our campus. Space is limited.

SPRING OPEN HOUSE is an all-inclusive day that provides prospective and admitted students the opportunity to tour our beautiful campus, interact with students, administrators, faculty and staff, and learn more about our extensive academic offerings and the process of becoming an Aggie. This event is from 10 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. at Corbett Sports Center. Check-in begins at 8:30 a.m.
