Welcome to the Office of Financial Aid

Financial Aid is any source of funds available to assist students pay for the costs of college education. If you think you will need assistance, you are encouraged to complete the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid). NC A&T University Federal School Code: 002905.

A FSA ID is required to complete the FAFSA.          

There are four main types of financial aid. A student is offered a combination of aid (known as a financial aid award) from these four programs:

Who is Eligible for Aid?
To be eligible to receive financial aid assistance, the applicant must:

  • Be admitted and currently enrolled at least half time as an undergraduate or graduate student.
  • Be enrolled or accepted in an eligible degree seeking program at NC A&T State University.
  • Be a US citizen, permanent resident or eligible non-citizen.
  • Have a valid Social Security number (with the exception of students from Republic of the Marshall Islands, Federated States of Micronesia, or the Republic of Palau).
  • Demonstrate financial need (for most programs).
  • Be registered with Selective Service if you are a male (you must register between the ages of 18 and 25).
  • Currently maintaining Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) toward the completion of his or her academic program.
  • Not be in default on any prior student loans; do not owe a repayment on any Title IV financial aid.
  • Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). The priority filing date is December 1st.
  • Not have been convicted of possessing or selling of illegal drugs.

N.C. A&T to Host Small Farms Field Day

Best practices for growing industrial hemp and opportunities for bamboo production are among the research and demonstration projects that will be showcased at Cooperative Extension at North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University’s annual Small Farms Field Day. The event, free and open to the public, will be held from 8 a.m. -1 p.m. June 6 at the University Farm, 3136 McConnell Road, Greensboro.

Federal Officials Host Economic Development Events at North Carolina A&T

A trio of senior federal officials teamed up with North Carolina Agricultural and Technical University to host a breakfast meeting for about 60 government and community leaders from around the state Friday for a discussion of opportunity zones and economic development in East Greensboro.

N.C. A&T Honors Deese at Naming Ceremony

The Student Center Ballroom at North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University has officially been renamed the Deese Ballroom. The university honored alumnus and benefactor Willie Deese ’77, Thursday, May 9, 2019, with a ceremony and reception bestowing his name upon the center’s ballroom, in recognition of his outstanding generosity and significant contributions to the entire campus community.
