The new college will develop programming based upon and consistent with employment trends that capitalize on the elements of an arts, humanities and social sciences education as well as enhance the visibility of programs, specifically the Liberal Arts.

The program offerings in the College of Education have been adjusted to further prepare and graduate pre-kindergarten through secondary level educators of distinction. The new structure will enhance the Master of Arts in Teaching entry route for K-12 educators, and produce premier secondary education teachers, specifically in STEM disciplines by allocating licensure programs currently facilitated under the secondary education bachelor’s degree to be aligned directly under their disciplinary bachelor’s degree.

Joint School of Nanoscience and Nanoengineering

The Joint School of Nanoscience and Nanoengineering (JSNN), is an academic collaboration between North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University (NC A&T) and The University of North Carolina at Greensboro (UNCG). Located on the South Campus of Gateway University Research Park, JSNN builds on the strengths of the universities to offer innovative, cross-disciplinary graduate programs in the emerging areas of nanoscience and nanoengineering.
