Bioinformatics Facility
North Carolina A&T State University
Purpose:
We have established a bioinformatics learning facility that currently has 8 workstations for faculty staff and students to be familiar with and utilize the resources in bioinformatics and general computation . Dr Worku is currently developing a Bioinformatics course that will incorporate these resources. The facility is in its beginning stages and further expansion efforts are currently underway. It will play a pivotal role in the University's focus into multidisciplinary research, especially in the biological sciences. The field of Bioinformatics is it self in its infancy stages and our goal is to play a role in mining the latest in bioinformatics technology and maintain a presence at the forefront as it evolves.
