I would like to extend a warm greeting to you from the Officers and Staff of North Carolina Agricultural & Technical State University Department of Police and Public Safety. I want to assure you that our campus is well protected and that our standards meet or exceed those of other nationally known urban campuses.

The Department of Police and Public Safety is an internationally accredited police agency by CALEA (Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies, Inc.). The standards set by CALEA assure that we meet and exceed the requirements to receive such esteem recognition, as well as our practices are internationally recognized. We are also, the first HBCU to be accredited.

Crime Prevention programs have been implemented according to the best pratices and carefully reviewed safety procedures. These programs vary in focus and have been designed to prevent any type of abuse or other criminal activity that threaten the well being of the Aggie Community.

Substantial emphasis has been placed upon Resident Hall Security, the safe use of other campus facilities and the identification of sanctions that will appropriately deal with anyone engaged in illegal or abusive behavior including the possession of illegal drugs and/or weapons on our campus.

Our Students and other units on this campus have worked cllosely with Police Administration to further enhance a comfortable living and learning environment for everyone on campus.
