Ashley Charleston, Lecturer and TA

Ms. Ashley Charleston received her BA in English from University of Albany-SUNY in 2005 and her MA in English and African-American Literature from North Carolina A&T University in May 2007. She hopes to conduct research on Malcolm X and race matters. She hopes to begin work on a PhD in African-American History as well host her own talk show.

Francis Nkrumah, Ph.D., TA

Dr. Francis Nkrumah graduated from Saint Peter’s Secondary School in Kwahu-Nkwatia in Ghana in 1993. He received the Bachelor of Science degree with First Class honors in Mechanical Engineering from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Kumasi, Ghana, in July 1999. As one of the top echelon students among his graduating group, he was selected to serve as a Teaching Assistant in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, KNUST in the academic year 1999-2000. In October 2000, Francis was enrolled in the Department of Mechanical Engineering of KNUST, receiving a Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering in July 2003. In January 2004, he was admitted to the Ph.D. program in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University, performing in full research in the field of Structural Health Monitoring. He has a number of publications in his area of research.

Doņela C. Wright, Lead TA

Ms. Doņela C. Wright is the current Lead Graduate Teaching Assistant for UNST 140: The African American Experience. She is a current M.A. candidate in the English department at North Carolina A&T State University. She received her B.A. in Africana Studies from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County and plans on receiving her M.A. in May 2008. Ms. Wright plans on pursuing her Ph.D. in Latin American Studies and African American Studies in fall 2009. 
 

Jamitia C. Wilson, TA

I'm originally from Philadelphia, PA. I received my Intervention Specialist bachelor's degree from Central State University in Ohio. I love to live life, share it, and build on it. My goal is to help people learn how to be healthy, happy, and whole. I am a teacher's assistant for Dr. Jacqueline Blackmore. I am a Rehabilitation Counseling Master's degree candidate here at A&T.
