Anita Meares Rivers passed away at the age of 98 on March 13, 2010. She was previously a chairperson of the Department of Mathematics at A&T. The funeral service will be held at 10:30 am Saturday, March 20, 2010 at St. James Presbyterian Church. Burial will follow in Piedmont Memorial Park. Mr. Lindsay E. McCleese, alumnus and retiree of A&T, passed away on Wednesday, March 17, 2010. Mr. McCleese diligently served the university for 18 years and retired from the Alumni Affairs Office. Family visitation will be on Sunday, March 21, 2010 at 1:30 p.m. at Love and Faith Christian Fellowship located at 4344 Blackberry Road in Greensboro, North Carolina. Mrs. Jennie Marine Sims Styles, mother of Teresa Jo Styles, professor in the department of Journalism and Mass Communication passed away on March 15, 2010. Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 19, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at Warren Memorial United Methodist Church in Atlanta, Georgia with interment to follow at Westview Cemetery in Atlanta, Georgia. Mrs. Doris Downing Page, passed on Thursday, March 11, 2010. She was a 1959 graduate of A&T, and was also employed at A&T for 32 years and worked in the Department of Human Performance and Leisure Studies formerly Health, Physical Education and Recreation Department.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, March 20, 2010 at Episcopal Church of the Redeemer, 901 E. Friendly Avenue. The body will be in the church from 12 – 1:00. Carlotta Baker departed this life on Friday, March 5, 2010. She left the University in 2001 after serving 15 years as a University Guidance Counselor, Office of Counseling Services.

Edward Chase Simmons, departed this life on March 1, 2010 at Potomac Hospital, Woodbridge, Va. He was the brother in law of Ralph Fennell, NC A&T University Foundation Director of Business Development.
