Respondus 3.5
Respondus is a powerful tool used to create and manage exams that can be published directly to Blackboard or printed to paper. Exams are typically created online using the Windows environment or imported from a publisher's test bank. Exams are then formatted and exported to Blackboard from Respondus.

Download Respondus
Respondus is currently available to all North Carolina
A&T State University faculty and staff through a campus-wide license.
Access and print the instructions for downloading the software (Download
Instructions) or follow the directions below:
Step 1: Obtain Installation and Password Information
The campus-wide license is only available to NC A&T SU faculty
and staff. Therefore, secure installation and password information must
be obtained. To obtain installation and password information, contact
Tracie Lewis (tolewis@ncat.edu or 256-0355/0356). Provide
your name, department, and email address. You will receive installation
information within 24 hours. If you do not receive installation information/email
confirmation, please call 256-0355/0356 ext. 3010.
Step 2: Download the Respondus Software
- Click Respondus Software.
- You will be prompted to "Run", "Save", or "Cancel". Click Run. The program will begin to download. (The process should take less than 5 minutes.)
- A "Security Warning" screen may appear. If so, click Run.
- On the "Welcome to Installation Program for Respondus 3.5" screen, click OK.
- On the "WinZip Self-Extractor" screen, click Unzip.
- After the files are unzipped, "27 file(s) unzipped successfully" will appear. Click OK.
- On the "Welcome" screen, click Next.
- Read the Software License Agreement. If you agree, click Yes.
- On the "Choose Destination Location" screen, click Next.
- On the "Choose Documents Folder" screen, click Next.
- You will be prompted to "Install Respondus Equation Editor". This step is optional. If you do not plan to use equations, click No. If you choose to install the editor, click Yes and follow the instructions on your screen.
- On the "Setup Complete" screen, click Finish.
- A new icon for "Respondus 3.5 Campus-Wide" will now appear on your desktop.
- After downloading the software, you will need to obtain the installation password (if you have not already done so - See Step 1 above).
Step 3: Accessing the Respondus Software
- After you obtain the installation password (see Step 1 above), double-click the new Respondus 3.5 icon on your desktop.
- You will be prompted to enter the installation information.
- After you enter the installation information, click License.
- On the "Respondus Newsletter" screen, click Close or sign up for the Respondus e-Newsletter
- Once Respondus has opened, change the "Current Personality" to Blackboard 6.3-8.x
