RULES FOR ATHLETIC TUTORIALS

                   
                    1) Tutorials are from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.  The tutorial program starts PROMPTLY
                         at 7:15 p.m., Monday - Thursday.

                    2) You must present identification and sign-in prior to tutoring.

                    3) No food or beverage is allowed at the tutorial site.

                    4) It is the responsibility of the student athlete to bring the necessary class notes,
                        textbooks, and other materials in order to be tutored.

                    5) You must sign-in and out with the Tutorial Assistant when leaving the room.  No
                         excuses will be accepted for failing to sign in and out of the tutorials.

                        6) Homework, papers, and examinations, etc. are the RESPONSIBILITY OF THE
                 STUDENT ATHLETE!  The tutor's role is to assist the student athlete with
                 acquiring additional knowledge and skills to enhance learning and to complete an
                 assignment for a specific task.  It is not the responsibility of the tutor to do
                 the student athlete's work.

               7) Headphones and radios are prohibited.

                     8) Student athletes should avoid unnecessary noise.  Talking should be limited to dialogue
                         with the tutor, Coordinator for Academic Monitoring of Student Athletes (CAM) and
                         the Tutorial Assistant.

                     9) Students and tutors are required to return all items (chairs, books, and tables, etc.)

                    10) Contact the CAM to obtain tutorial assistance outside of regular tutorial hours.

                          Please complete the Request for a Tutor form if you additional assistance.  You must
                          submit the form to the CAM officer.  Assistance for individualized tutoring will be
                          arranged upon your written request.  If you are unable to attend a scheduled
                          appointment, please contact the CAM officer.  Repeated abuses will result in losing
                   the privilege for individualized tutoring.

                    11) Student-athletes who have a legitimate reason for missing tutorial sessions (class, exam,
                         personal, etc.) must submit a written request describing the reason to the CAM.
                         Preferably, this request should be submitted prior to the student-athlete's absence,
                         but no later than 48 hours upon the student's return to campus.

                   12) Any tutoring spent outside of study hall cannot be counted as study hall hours.

                   13) Request for a tutor must come through the Coordinator for Academic Monitoring of
                         Student Athletes.  Any tutoring done without prior approval of the CAM, which
                         requires payment for tutorial services, will not be honored.
