The Student Support Services Program has been active at North Carolina A&T State University since 1977.  The goal of the Student Support Services Program is to provide supportive services designed to meet the special needs of one hundred seventy-five (175) educationally disadvantaged students relative to their gaining admission to, achieving success in and graduating from North Carolina A&T State University.

??? Who Qualifies For SSS ???

In order to qualify for the Student Support Services Program, you must meet the following requirements:

A.  Is a citizen or national of the United States, is a permanent resident of the trust territory of the Pacific Islands; or is a permanent resident of the United States,

B.  Is enrolled or accepted for enrollment in the next enrollment period at North Carolina A&T State University,

C.  Has a need for academic support in order ot successfully pursue a post-secondary educational program; and

D.  Is, at the time of initial selection, one of the following:

1.  a low-income individual, or
2.  a first-generation college student, or
3.  physically handicapped.

A "low-income individual" means an individual whose family's taxable income meets the financial guidelines of the U.S. Department of Education (our office with assist you with this).
