Can my housing cost be included in the Academic Management Services (AMS) Monthly payment plan?

Yes, any charges appearing on your student statements,
including residence hall costs, can be paid on installment plan administered
by the vendor AMS. |

What are my options? |
The first step is to complete a new student housing
application and pay the $150 processing/programming fee. When a residence
hall space is available it will be offered to you. If no residence hall
space is available your name will be placed on the “wait list”. |

| When is it too late to cancel my housing? |
Housing can be cancelled at any time; however, the
$150
processing/programming fee is non-refundable regardless of the
cancellation timeframe. Specific cancellation fees and policies are outlined
in the Residence Hall Contract. |
| Can I sign a Housing Contract for either the Fall or
Spring Semester only? |
No, housing contracts cover the entire school term, a
nine month period from August to May except for Spring admits. |
| I rarely eat in Williams Cafeteria; must I purchase a
meal plan if I live in a residence hall? |
Yes, any student living in a residence hall MUST
purchase a meal plan and sign a Dining Contract. |
| How can I change room assignments and/or roommates? |
By submitting a Roommate & Building Change Request
Form which can be found on the website to the Department of Housing. This is
only a request and not a guarantee that roommate or room type preferences will
be honored or changed.
After the residence hall check in you can direct these
request to the Residence Hall Director. |
| If I mail my application after the first week in June,
when will I receive housing? |
After the application is processed you will receive
your assignment when spaces become available. |
| If someone steals something out of my residence hall
room, how can I be reimbursed for the replacement costs? |
Students are strongly encourages to obtain Insurance
from an independent insurance carrier to cover any losses of personal
possessions in the residence hall. Neither the University nor the Housing
and Residence Life Department are liable for any damages or losses in the

| Under what circumstances can I automatically be suspended
from the residence hall? |
- Violating the University’s “Zero Tolerance” policy of
illegal substances or aggressive behavior.
- Possession of use of firearms or other weapons.
- Tampering with fire alarms, extinguishers or falsely
activating or removing these devices.
- Acts or incidents posing serious threat or danger to
the community.
- Illegal room or assignment changes.
- Please refer to the student handbook for additional
offenses resulting in expulsion or removal from the residence hall or University.

| Which Residence Hall requires your own furniture? |
All the residence halls are
furnished with the exception of Aggie Terrace.

| What is the difference between a single, double, double
deluxe and a private room? |
- A single room is a suite style living arrangement,
where you have a room to yourself and share a bathroom with four to five
residents living within the suite.

A double room consists of two people
living in the same room.

Traditional Doubles – share a bathroom on the same hall.
·
Suite Style Doubles – share a bathroom within the suite.
- A double deluxe consists of two people living in the
same room with a bathroom inside the room.
- A private room consists of one person living in a
room with their own private bathroom.

| Does Financial Aid cover my housing? |
It depends on the package you receive, you should check
with the Financial Aid department for clarification on your personal plan. |
