The Secretary of the NC A&T State University Staff Senate is Sharon S. Mitchell.  She is  an  Administrative Secretary in the Animal Sciences Department.  Her office is located in Webb Hall.  Sharon has participated in almost every activity and event the A&T Staff Senate has sponsored.  She organized the Staff Senate's participation in the 2003 Commencement activities.  She was a tremendous help in the Senate's issues information project (NC Senate Bill 788).  At the Chair's request, she has stepped in whenever and wherever the Staff Senate needed leadership and administrative expertise.

Early in the term of the current administration Sharon served as Vice Secretary.  When the Secretary found it necessary to be away Sharon did a wonderful job of filling in.  Also, Sharon worked tirelessly to assist and support the efforts of the Secretary.  Upon the Secretary's resignation (due to workload), Sharon (in November 2003) became Staff Senate Secretary.

Senator Mitchell did a wonderful job during her first term and we are expecting great success as she embarks on the 2005-2007 term.
