* Columbus County Farmers Abuzz with Bees ­ "Without pollination, there are no blueberries. It's as simple as that," says Kenneth Gore, a Columbus County farmer who has begun keeping bees as part of his blueberry operation.

* Reddy Earns Research Award ­ A pioneer in sustainable agriculture research, Dr. M. R. Reddy was named Outstanding Research Scientist of the Year by the Agricultural Research Program of North Carolina A&T State University.
