Greensboro, NC: The Gamma Sigma Delta honorary society inducted 41 North Carolina A&T State University School of Agriculture students during a recent awards banquet at F. A. Williams Cafeteria on the A&T campus.


To qualify for membership, students must have reached junior or senior status, and be ranked in the top five percent of their junior class or the top fifteen percent of their senior class. Inductees are nominated for membership by the faculty, based on their academic achievement and leadership potential.


Inductees are:


From the Department of Agricultural Education, Economics and Rural Sociology: Brian Clarida, Stephanie Fennell, Tonya Hargett, Kasandra Hart, Angel Linney, Yolanda Starke, Robert Stone, Tosha McDougal, Kristie L. Wright, Cedric D. Robinson, Tori Lea and Diaka Diallo.


From the Department of Animal Science: Robyn Clemons, Dareck Deshields, Lisha Harris, Kimberly Riley, Tamala Dalton, Treena Ford, Montona Futrell, William Hill, Cynthia Jungers, Ketoyia Newkirk, Ashley Spruill, Desmond Thompson and Mahogany Wade.


From the Department of Human Environmental and Family Sciences: Anthony Jackson, Tammy Davis, Kristi Eason, Melanie Jennings, Sherry McAllister, Shanel Tucker and Nikkia Mack.


From the Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Design: James W. Lewis, Deborah Brown, Karri Cecil, Michael Clay, David Gill, Kenya Goins, Aisha Sexton, Renee Thompson and Robert Rodriguez.


In addition, M. Jean Baldwin, Ron Fisher, Alton Franklin, Valorie McAlpin and Sheila Whitley were inducted as faculty members of Gamma Sigma Delta, while Kanglin Li was inducted as an alumni member of the organization.
