* NC A&T Event Gives Voice to Black Farmers ­ Land loss, discrimination and paths for the future were among the issues discussed during "Agriculture, Technology and Trade: The Past, Present and Future of African Americans in Agriculture." Former US Secretary of Agriculture Mike Espy and leaders from the Black Farmers and Agriculturalists Association participated in the colloquium.

* NC A&T School of Agriculture Hosts U.S. Secretary of Agriculture ­ U.S. Secretary of Agriculture Dan Glickman addressed civil rights and small-scale agriculture issues during the keynote address at A&T's Small Farm's Day Luncheon, the highlight of NC A&T Cooperative Extension Program's 12th Annual Small Farms Week.

* Attention to Quality Makes Norris Small Farmer of the Year ­ Combining sound business sense with a passion for working the land, Lesker Loyied Norris of rural Wake County earned the distinction of the state's small-scale farmer of the year.

* NC A&T Program Breathes Life into Durham Housing Community ­ "The transformation has been amazing," James Miller says of Brenda Goldston. "Community Voices brought out the leader in Brenda, and both she and the community have benefitted immensely."

* NC A&T School of Agriculture Dean an Invited White House Advisor ­ Dr. Daniel D. Godfrey, dean of NC A&T's School of Agriculture, recently traveled to Washington, DC, to participate in a roundtable discussion, "An Education Initiative for Africa."

* Gamma Sigma Delta Inducts A&T Students ­ The Gamma Sigma Delta honorary society inducted 41 North Carolina A&T State University School of Agriculture students during a recent awards banquet.

* Alpha Tau Alpha Inducts A&T Students ­ The Alpha Tau Alpha honorary society inducted 12 North Carolina A&T State University School of Agriculture students, during a recent awards banquet.
