Sample JiTT WarmUp Questions
JiTT warm-up questions (or JiTTs for short) are the heart of JiTT pedagogy. Browse a wide variety of JiTT warmup questions used in our Principles of Economics courses, listed by content area below. In many cases we've included student responses and classroom activities in addition to the warm-up questions. Looking through these questions/responses will give you an idea of the different ways in which JiTT questions can be used - developing real-life examples of economic concepts, analyzing economic data, solving graphical/conceptual problems, writing creative essays using an economic concept, solving an economic model, analyzing economic policy choices, and many more.
In practice, JiTT warmup questions are posted on the web (in our case, using Blackboard or WebCT) at least two days before the responses are due and focus on concepts that we will be covering in the upcoming class.
