Parent/Guardian Surety

The NC Teaching Fellow Scholarship/loan program is a partnership between the state and you. If your student accepts the scholarship/loan and completes the program requirements and the four years of teaching in a North Carolina public school, the award is a scholarship. If your student chooses to withdraw from the program, is removed from the program or chooses not to teach once earning their degree, the award becomes a loan that must be repaid by the student or you, the surety/co-signer, plus 10% interest.

North Carolina A&T Teaching Fellows Program will support your student as they pursue their degree and licensure to teach with quality extracurricular activities, dedicated faculty and staff. The program will also provide support to you, by keeping you aware of your student’s status within the program.
