Mission Statement

This project assists students in gaining an awareness of and beginning preparation for undergraduate education beginning in middle school; thereafter, to augment that preparation during high school by completing college preparatory courses.

Further, this program provides support to students, parents, and educators in its endeavor to increase underprivileged children’s chances of enrolling in and succeeding in post-secondary education.

Schools and Initiatives

COLLEGE IS POSSIBLE is the American Council on Education's K-16 youth development program that motivates middle- and high school students from under served communities to seek a college education. As the major coordinating organization for higher education representing college and university presidents, the American Council on Education (ACE) is uniquely positioned to build a bridge between colleges and universities and their local K-12 communities, by facilitating commitment at the executive level. AMERICAN COUNCIL ON EDUCATION - ACE, the major coordinating body for all the nation's higher education institutions, seeks to provide leadership and a unifying voice on key higher education issues and to influence public policy through advocacy, research, and program initiatives.
