Requirements
- Full or Part-time student
- Minimum GPA 3.0
- NC Resident
- A 500 Word Essay explaining "Why You Want to Be an Educator"

NC Teaching Fellows Scholarship/Loan Program
The state of North Carolina awards 500, $26,000.00 scholarship/loans a year to selected high school seniors. These students may choose from 18 colleges and universities in North Carolina to earn their degree in education. Recipients of the fund must teach for four years in North Carolina public schools or they must pay back the loan plus 10% interest.
Minimum requirements:
- North Carolina Resident/high school senior
- 3.2 GPA; 900 SAT/20 ACT
- Rank in the top 35% of their graduating class

NC A&T School of Education Scholars
The School of Education awards between $ 12,000.00 to $ 16, 000.00 in scholarships each year to incoming freshmen and continuing students. Scholarships in the amount of $ 1,000.00 - $ 2,500.00 are awarded. The students may apply each year. These scholarship funds are gifts from alumni and supporters of the School of Education
Minimum Requirements:
- Incoming freshmen 1000 or higher on the SAT; 19 or higher on the ACT; minimum 3.0 GPA
- Continuing students must have a 3.2 GPA; admitted to Teacher Education and be a School of Education major
Applications will be available in the spring

North Carolina Future Teachers Scholarship/Loan Program
The state of North Carolina awards 200 + $ 6,500.00 scholarship to education majors who are earning degrees in Special Education, Secondary Math or Science. Recipients of the award must tach for two years in North Carolina public schools or pay back the funds plus 10% interest.
Minimum requirements:
- North Carolina resident
- Admitted to Teacher Education
- GPA 2.8 or higher
