The School of Education prepares students for careers in elementary and secondary schools and for professional careers in industry, government and other agencies. The programs of study are planned to enable students to attain competence in both specialized and general areas of education.

The 21st Century is your century.  Will you be ready?  How will you prepare to live and prosper in a world where the future is up to you?  The School of Education at North Carolina A & T State University offers education for the 21st Century.  We welcome your interest.

 

The School of Education has a proud tradition of preparing high quality educators and professionals who are ready to meet the challenges of the ever-changing work force.  Students will be working with dedicated faculty members who believe that teaching and learning are life-long commitments and who model best practices in their classrooms.  We will support you as you connect theory and action through reflective practices.  We are teachers, sport science professionals, counselors and adult educators supporting the development of new professionals and looking forward to you being apart of our community of learners.

Career Counseling Symposium

You are cordially invited to a very special event on the campus of North Carolina A & T State University. On Thursday, May 1, 2008, the Graduate Counseling Association will be hosting a Counseling Career Symposium. This career fair will be an opportunity for your organization to come and meet not only our current students, but our recent counseling graduates as well. This event is co-hosted by the Rehabilitation Counseling Association, Chi Sigma Iota Honor Society, and the spring 2008 Career Counseling class.

North Carollina A&T State University's Rehabilitation Counseling Program is proud to present its 2nd Annual Rehabilitation of Racial & Ethnic Minorities with Behavioral Addictions (REMBA) Conference:

The Silent Crisis:

Speaking Out on Addictions in Minority Communities

May 1-2, 2008

The conference will address effective counseling techniques for individuals experiencing the following behavioral addictions:

  • Criminal Offense
  • Alcohol and Drug Abuse
  • Sexual Addictions
  • Gambling Addictions
  • Eating Disorders

for the 2nd Annual REMBA Conference:

All proposals should be submitted using the following guidelines:

  1. Title Presentation
  2. Presentation description and Abstract (12 point Times New Roman Font, MS Word, 1 1/2 in margins)
  3. Learning Objectives
  4. Primary topic(s) area addressed (see listing on link above)
  5. Name and title of Lead presenter and name, address, phone (work), fax, and e-mail address of each presenter
