| Learn to Teach, Teach to Serve
Mission:
To recruit currently enrolled undergraduate students (freshman and sophomores) to high need areas of Math, Science and Special Education. This summer bridge program provides a teaching licensure option for students pursuing degrees in non-licensure areas.
Program Eligibility:
- Currently enrolled students at North Carolina A & T State University. In good standing
with the university.
- Cumulative GPA of 2.8 or higher
- Completion of Freshman year
- Must NOT be a current education major
Program Requirements:
- Completed application, transcript and reference by Dean/Chair of current school.
- Commit to obtain license in Math, Science or Special Education
- Complete required educational courses
- * Take Praxis I * (students with combined SAT scores of 1100 or ACT 24 are exempt
from this requirement)
- Complete and sign participation agreement
- Complete all other program requirements
Program Accommodations:
- Scholarships are available to defray cost of educational expenses (tuition and fees, room and board, books, etc.)
- Praxis I registration fee
Application Deadline:
You must complete all three forms in the application packet.
