Certificate Programs

The Counseling program has several certificates that are currently available. Current students from the community, rehabilitation, and school counseling tracks and graduates with a master’s degree in counseling from North Carolina A & T State University are eligible to apply for the certificate programs. Please note that prerequisites may be required.

Certificates are available in the following areas:

• Marriage and Family Counseling

• Rehabilitation Counseling and Behavioral Addictions

• Rehabilitation Psychology and Behavioral Medicine

• Vocational Evaluation and Work Adjustment

Interested candidates are advised to contact representative faculty members or their advisor for more information. For NCAT counseling graduates, it is necessary to apply for entry into the certificate program. The application deadline for the certificates is the same as for all counseling programs which is October 1st and March 1st. In addition to completing the Graduate School application (check Certificate Programs) applicants must pay the $45.00 application fee, submit a letter of intent (no more than 250 words), and a NCA&T State University graduate transcript. Students admitted to the NCA&T Counseling Program before 2005 are required to submit references.
