Business School Requirements

Economics majors whose area of concentration is Business Economics take 27 semester hours in general business courses and six semester hours in Accounting.

  • ACCT 221: Principles of Accounting I
  • ACCT 222: Principles of Accounting II
  • BUED 360: Business Communications
  • BUAD 220: Business Environment
  • BUAD 341: Introduction to Management Information Systems
  • BUAD 422: Management Concepts
  • BUAD 430: Marketing
  • BUAD 461: Legal Environment of Business
  • BUAD 453: Business Finance
  • BUAD 481: Management Science I
  • BUAD 520: Business Policy


General Program Requirements

Economics and Transportation majors are required to complete a minimum of 124 semester hours for a baccalaureate degree consistent with the curriculum guide for the program selected. Also, a minimum grade of "C" must be earned in the following courses:

  • ENGL 100: Ideas and Their Expression I (oral and written communication course)
  • ENGL 101: Ideas and Their Expression II
  • BUED 360: Business Communications
  • MATH 111: College Algebra and Trigonometry
  • MATH 112: Calculus for Non-Mathematics Majors


Departmental Requirements

Students majoring in Transportation must earn a minimum of "C" in the following courses:

  • TRAN 360: Introduction to Transportation
  • TRAN 340: Introduction to Supply Chain Management
  • TRAN 431: Supply Chain Analysis
  • TRAN 460: Traffic Management
  • TRAN 670: Materials Management
  • TRAN 672: Purchasing and Supply Management
  • TRAN 580: International Logistics and Supply Chain Management
  • ECON 425: Economics of Transportation
  • BUAD 481: Management Science
  • BUAD 482:Production Management
