Urban Transit Institute at the Transportation Institute - Tech. Transfer

The goal of the Technology Transfer Program is to ensure the availability of research results to potential users in a form that can be directly implemented, utilized, or otherwise applied. It is envisioned that after four to six years the UTI will become a recognized resource and referral for information on transit, including the latest innovations and policy developments, "best practices," training, etc. The UTI will also feature information on other modes, such as trucks, railroads and other carriers, especially as they relate to understanding and promoting safe, effective integrated transportation systems. In addition, the UTI will provide educational and human resource information useful in promoting the long-term goal of increased participation of diverse populations in all aspects of transportation.
