ACCREDITATION

North Carolina A&T State University is one of the constituent institutions of the University of North Carolina system.  The University is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools and the Department of Business Education is accredited by the AACSB (as part of the School of Business and Economics) as well as by the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE).

LICENSURE

The licensure exam for business teachers is the PRAXIS II—Business Education.  The state of North Carolina requires that candidates pass the exam to receive a license to teach in NC public schools.  Assistance is provided in preparing for the exam.  Our 96% pass rate over the past seven years, suggests that we a doing a good job.

JOB PLACEMENT

Our program has a 100% success rate in placing it graduates in business teaching positions.  Many have also gone on to graduate programs.
