Congratulations NCAT AITP!
A group of four NCAT Management - MIS students attended the AITP Regional Conference in Ashville, NC, April 25-26. All of the student chapters from this region (including NC, VA, WV, PA, and OH) were invited to participate in a student contest. Drs. Lind and Wang worked with these students for weeks to design an IS system that can help a small business. The NCAT AITP team won the first-place award!
Dr. Angela Miles is the recipient of the 2008 Junior Faculty Outstanding Teaching Award for the School of Business and Economics. According to Dr. Miles, " teaching involves listening to students; adapting to change and student needs; and finally, guiding, encouraging, coaching and redirecting when necessary". She views learning as an expansion of the mind and she strives to create an environment that allows students to conceptualize and solve problems, while probing various alternatives. Her classroom is an organizational setting, and the students are members of the organization.
Dr. Isaiah Ugboro is the recipient of the 2008 Outstanding Teaching Award for the School of Business and Economics.
Aggies in China : From May 19 – May 31, 2008, School of Business & Economics students will be studying Business abroad in China . Led by Drs. Angela Miles and Alice Stewart, the students will be visit five (5) cities including Hong Kong, Beijing and Shanghai.
