North
Carolina A&T State
University Army ROTC
presents the Junior ROTC |
 |
|
What is
the HardCharger?
|
|
It's
definitely not your old
fashioned drill meet
ONE team
of FOUR Cadets compete in
FIVE events!
Now, that's a
JROTC Pentathlon
It's a test
of teamwork, discipline,
leadership & physical
fitness. Not only are you
competing against the best
from other schools, but now
you can settle those in
house rivalries as well. Or
maybe multiple teams from
your school will clean up
the whole competition. |
|
Why
this Competition? |
|
The
Hardcharger!
Challenge was originally
conceived as a competition for
our affiliate junior ROTC
programs in and around the
Greater Greensboro Area. Here is
our mindset:
- Many of our freshmen
scholarship students
experienced difficulty
passing the Army Physical
Fitness Test. Of course, not
the ones from your school.
We want your Cadets to have
an advantage by adopting a
lifestyle of physical
fitness early.
- Our affiliate JROTC
programs vary immensely in
terms of size. We want
something you all can
participate in, so we
leveled the playing field!
- Many of you come to NC
A&T for the Air Force ROTC
sponsored Blue & Gold
Invitational Drillmeet. We
always get asked, "When is
the Army ROTC going to host
a competition, You did it in
the Eighties!" Well, here we
go, with a little different
flavor.
- Finally, we have 8 great
schools in the Greensboro
area consortium. Students
from these schools make up
the Aggie Battalion. We want
to introduce these schools
to your Cadets. We will do
this by holding a college
fair in conjunction with the
Hardcharger.
Hopefully, one way or
another your students will
be motivated to be the best
they can be!
