Student Health Insurance

The student health insurance plan was designated and is endorsed by North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University for all students. The insurance plan works in partnership with the university health fee to provide seamless health care at a reasonable cost to students. The health fee covers provider charges at the Sebastian Health Center while the student health plan covers other charges, i.e. lab, x-ray and pharmacy charges. Students will be referred to an appropriate community provider within our preferred provider network, if the Sebastian Health Center cannot provide the care needed.

All undergraduate, graduate and professional students enrolled in six or more hours, and international students must have health insurance as a condition of enrollment. Students may waive out during the open enrollment and waiver period, if they have other insurance and wish to waive the student insurance plan. You will be enrolled in the University Health Insurance Plan if you fail to appropriately waive coverage. Coverage must be waived every semester.
