There are many people who are very hurt by this tragic situation and we all are here for the support of the Hodge family as well as all friends of Derek. | Comments: My heart goes out to D's family and friends. he was a fun loving and charismatic guy. I will remember him for his smile and the designer cologne he always wore! I do not question God's decisions. but it hurts so bad to think when things are going so well for someone, in the blink of an eye it can all be over. I'm so sick of our young brothers dying in vain. And this brother was not a killer. he was God fearing person. people wanted to be this man!! I keep my friends and family in my prayers and D will continue to be in mine.

| Comments: It is with great sympathy that we have lost Derek. I met Derek when he first came to try out for Couture Productions, an on campus modeling/production organization. A very funny person he was. One thing that I will not forget is Derek's smile, it could light up a dark room. I am happy to have known Derek and am happy that he is in a better place.
