The North Carolina Rural Teaching Fellows Online Program seeks two types of people:
- Those individuals with four-year college degrees who have demonstrable work experience in the content area the person wants to teach or,
- Those recent college graduates with a Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree in the content area the person wants to teach.
Additionally, the ideal candidate must have a strong desire to effect change in rural classrooms, to work tirelessly to impact the academic performance of students from various socioeconomic communities, and to impact positively the lives of young people.
