Only those persons who meet the qualifications of this program should apply for admission to the North Carolina Rural Teaching Fellows Online Program (see Who We Want).
If you meet eligibility requirements, prospective candidates should adhere to the following steps:
- Contact one of the following Human Resources representatives in the district in which you are interested in teaching so they can evaluate your undergraduate academic transcript:

Once your transcript has been evaluated, you should download and submit a Post-Baccaleureate Studies Application (see Apply Now) to the following address:

Included in the application package should be an official copy of all transcripts from any institution listed on the application. Do NOT include any money in the application package! If selected to participate, the application fee will be covered by the program. No GRE/GMAT scores are required to enter Phase I (The Licensure Phase) of the program. However, GRE/GMAT scores will be required to continue into Phase II of the program.
Please ensure all contact information listed on the application is current and active.
- After your application has been reviewed by a committee, participants will be selected for an interview selection process. Those individuals who are selected to participate will comprise the cohort of 30 students each academic year.
