Your dream job may be one you never knew anything about!  Then, you should determine your career goals. If you are interested in becoming a news producer, then you should obtain an internship in the news department of a radio or television station.  Whatever your goal, make sure you internship will be a step in the right direction to reaching your goal. 

Secondly, talk to former interns and alumni who can provide career information, suggestions and contacts.

Also, it is important to tell everyone you talk to about your career goals.  You never know who knows someone who can help you.

Lastly, go to job fairs, conferences and other media events to network with professionals who can assist you in obtaining an internship.
