Introduction

Job well done Agent!  A recent report from the Central Intelligence Agency shows that you have successfully completed the assigned missions and now you are ready to be promoted to the next level in your career. The Central Intelligence Agency is indeed impressed with your character and level of hard work, dedication, and skill in completing your duties.

You should be pleased to know that the CIA has decided to promote you to top executive field work. However, before you can accept your new position, you must submit a mission statement that will serve as a roadmap to your future.

Task

Now that you have gathered so much information on Kwanzaa, we would like you to apply the principals learned to your life.  In order to be promoted at the CIA, you must:

  1. Write a personal mission statement for your future.
  2. Complete journal entries,  which summarize your personal ambitions,  your reflections about your involvement in the CIA Kwanzaa Assignment, and your goals for your future in life. 
  3. Submit your composition journal, along with your personal mission statement, to your superior at the Agency.

Process

Read the Journal Questions listed on this site.
Write a journal response for each question, each no longer than a page in length.
Develop well written and complete paragraphs.
Type and edit your entries.
From the writing exercises, write your personal mission statement.
Submit your composition journal, along with your personal mission statement, to your superior at the Agency.

Journal Questions

What have you learned from this mission that you didn't know before?

List and describe seven activities that you currently do which emanate the seven principals of Kwanzaa.

Write a personal biographic sketch of yourself.

What are your goals in life?  What goals can you create that will help yourself, others, and your community?

What are your top 10 recommendations for our nation and world?

Who do you look up to in your family?

Indicate your personal mission statement and tell how your arrived at accepting this statement for your life.

What are some of your recent achievements?

Who have you helped recently? Who has helped you recently, what did they do, and how did it make you feel?

Do you have a friend with goals similar to your own?  If so, how can you help them and how can they help you achieve your goals and be a success?

Name four of your own personal role models and write in detail why they are role models for you.
