Reporting a Change of Address

The United States Citizenship and Immigration Service (USCIS) regulations require ALL foreign nationals to report changes of address within 10 days of moving. This rule applies to F-1 and J-1 students, scholars and dependents.

To change your address you must do the following:

  1. Complete the Change of Address Form available to you in the ISSO. The ISSO will inform USCIS of the Change through SEVIS.  You must also update your address with the University Registrar’s Office within the same timeframe.
  2. Complete a Change of Address Form online at www.uscis.gov. If you choose this method, you must still notify the ISSO  and the University Registrars Office within 10 days.

**Special Registration Students**

Foreign Nationals subject to Special Registration, please see the USCIS Special Registration Website for a SR version of the AR-11 form and other important information. F-1 OPT, J-1 Scholars and all non-SEVIS reportable visas (H, TN, E, L, O, etc.) must do the following to report change of address:

  1. Please obtain the AR-11 form from the USCIS Website and submit it directly to the address on the form.
  2. Provide a copy of the form to ISSO for office records or complete the ISSO Change of Address Form.
  3. Notify the University Registrar, Human Resources and Payroll Office of address changes.
